As we all know, the economy is in the tank. Heck, you can't turn on the tv or radio without hearing some new 'crisis', or doom and gloom scenario.

 

Some of you may have clients that work in finacial markets. Banker, stock brokers, the infamous 'day traders', or even some of those that got the million dollar bonuses from AIG, Citi Group or BofA.

 

The 'experts' say that in times of recession and economic problems, gamblers won't stop betting, partygoers will keep drinking and smokers will still take the drag. In fact, economic turbulence often creates more reasons to indulge.

 

So-called "sin stocks", or shares of alcohol, gaming, tobacco and other personal 'vice' companies, are sometimes seen as a safe bet when the U.S. economy slows.

 

If Jim Cramer can blather on about stocks, and financial markets, and make a lot of noise, we here at StripperZone have created our own portfolio of stocks. Call it the vice portfolio.
